Agents make a living off commissions. So when a commission goes unpaid it's a big deal to the agent who spent time and effort working with the client. The situation in which commissions are most often lost is the home purchase that takes place between a buyer and a new home builder. For some reason, real estate agents and new home builders got off on the wrong foot and they've stayed there ever since. But with RegisterMyClient.com, a new interactive database accessible online to licensed agents and builders the two can now work together in a streamlined process that gives everyone exactly what they need.

What do Agents Need to Know About RegisterMyClient.com?

RMC (RegisterMyClient.com) is a brand new online, interactive database offering real estate agents the chance to register their clients in the market for new homes with all participating builders in one blanket registration process. The blanket registration is quick and easy saving agents time and money and the hassle of driving to and from several different communities with their clients in order to get the commission on the sale.

What Do Agents Pay to Access the RegisterMyClient.com Service?

No. Licensed real estate agents access the RegisterMyClient.com service for free.

What Sort of Registration Process is Required?

For an agent to register to use RegisterMyClient.com they simply click on the "Get Started" tab on the home page and follow the instructions. Agents are immediately issued a username and password used to log in to the site to view account activity as well as to register additional clients.

Can Any Agent Access the Site?

Only licensed real estate agents are given access to the RegisterMyClient.com. The site is not open to the general public.

How do agents register their clients on Registermyclient.com?

After an agent is registered, they can use their username and password to log in. Once logged in they can begin registering their clients.

Will Agents Who Use RMC Still Receive their Commission?

Participating builders are required to sign RegisterMyClient.com's legal agreement that ensures that traditional/advertised commissions will be paid to agents at the close of escrow.

How Long Does the Registration Last?

When agents register a client on Registermyclient.com the registration is good for 30 days. 25 days into the registration period agents will receive an email from RegisterMyClient.com notifying them that the registration is about to expire. Agents will be given the option to register the client for an additional 30 days at this time.

Are Agents Still Required to Accompany their Client to the New Home Communities?

Registration with RegisterMyClient.com fulfills the "first visit" requirement.

How Many Builders Can Agents Register Their Clients With?

No. The registration process is meant to be used as a blanket registration. One entry registers the client with all participating new home builders in the area.

Does RMC Notify the Builder of New Registrations?

Agents receive a confirmation by email when they register a client. The confirmation will specify each participating builder the client is registered with through the system. While the registration is active and valid at this point it's still a good idea to fax or email the registration to the builder at the time of the contract signing. Each new home builder will also have access to the database and confirm registrations on an individual basis as needed.

Will Clients be Notified that they have been Registered?

When an agent registers a client, RegisterMyClient.com sends an email to the client requesting confirmation of the registration. The registration does not become active until it has been confirmed. Agents should always advise their clients clearly of their intentions to proceed with the registration and make it clear that they will need to access their email and confirm the registration quickly.
