With even science backing up the fact that most women adore the color pink, there's a pretty good chance that you have friends or family members who would love a fabulous pink gift for their next birthday (or other special event). Here are 6 gifts no pink-lover can resist.
With even science backing up the fact that most women adore the color pink, there's a pretty good chance that you have friends or family members who would love a fabulous pink gift for their next birthday (or other special event). Here are 6 gifts no pink-lover can resist. Weleda's Rose Body Oil Containing only biodynamically grown ingredients from Weleda's own gardens in Germany, this body oil softens your skin naturally without any artificial or toxic ingredients. The mix of musk rose, almond and jojoba oils helps your skin retain its moisture and elasticity, and smells great too (just the right amount of rose). It comes in a deep blue glass bottle with a hot pink label. Save it and use it as a rustic vase once you've used up the oil - it looks great with a single flower in it. Around $25. Corkscrew Trust the French to invent a wine opener they describe as "sensual"! L'Atelier du Vin's stylish "Chic Lady" corkscrew ($44) comes in both hot and pale pink, and has a patented "swing system" which makes pulling the cork out of the bottle totally effortless. I'd add a bottle of wine to go along with it; a nice ros preferably (but please stay away from the White Zin!). Stovetop Espresso Machine Bialetti's cute logo alone is enough to make me want to add any of their products to my kitchen (and I rarely drink coffee!). But it just got even better with the release of 2 pink versions of their stovetop espresso/cappuccino makers: The Dama Pink ($42.95) and the Mukka Express ($89.95). Not only do they produce amazingly tasty espresso and cappuccino, they look fantastic, and a part of the proceeds of each goes to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The Cutest Camcorder On Earth The Flip MinoHD from Pure Digital Technologies is not only a great little camcorder (3.94"x1.97"x0.63"); it is cute as can be as well. What makes it so cute? You get to design it! Choose a style from their gallery (there are tons!), use their "pattern maker" to create a totally unique pattern, or upload your own design or photo. But it's not all looks: it has a 2x digital zoom, an f/2.4 lens, a 1.5" screen, 4GB of internal memory, a built-in flip-out USB arm, and a tripod mount, and it only weighs 3.3 oz. The price? $229. Samsung TL9 Digital Camera The metallic bubblegum pink Samsung TL9 is not only a great little camera; it's also a jack-of-all-trades. Packed into its stylish body are also MP3 and multimedia players, a text viewer, camcorder, and voice recorder. The camera part features 10.2 megapixles, a 5x optical zoom, a (35mm equivalent) focal length of 38 ~ 190mm, dual image stabilization, face, smile and blink detection, and a beauty shot mode which automatically retouches facial skin. Dashboard-style dials tell you how much battery life and memory you have left. It's tiny too: 3.7x2.3x0.8" and 4.9 oz. $229-$253. Vertu Cell Phones Not widely known in the US, these handmade cell phones from UK-based Vertu (a subsidiary of Nokia) are uber-stylish gadgets that would make any Valentine gasp with delight. There are three pink phones in their "Constellation" collection: the "Monogram Cerise", the "Core Range Pink" and the "Precious Range". The Monogram and Core both have pink leather backs and stainless steel fronts, and the Precious is black leather and 18k rose gold with black ceramic keys. All weigh 5 oz., have GSM coverage in 180 countries, Bluetooth email, web browser, 400 hours of standby and 5.5 hours of talk time. If you're really in the mood to splurge, check out their Signature Diamonds collection. The Rose Gold Pink Diamonds phone in black, framed with a flower-design border, is made from white and pink diamonds, pink sapphires and rubies. Perhaps a good gift for those who really want to go all out but aren't ready for that engagement ring quite yet The most exclusive feature on these phones, however, is probably the "concierge button". By pressing this little button (on the side of the phone), you reach a personal assistant, who can help you (24 hours a day) with everything from finding a perfect restaurant for a romantic dinner to arranging for a private jet so you don't miss that important business meeting.
