It seems the Wii console is everywhere, with lot of people buying the Nintendo Wii to play with family or friends. The Wii Fit accessory helped accelerate the console sales appealing to users other than just gamers and kids. Can the Nintendo Wii game system hold its own? To keep momentum going, Nintendo is releasing plenty of new features, games and accessories. One new release for May 2009 is the Wii MotionPlus controller addon. This accessory gets attached to the motion-sensitive controller to help increase sensitivity of the controller. With better control, players can improve at new sports and challenges. An upgraded Wii Sports is coming out in June, using the MotionPlus accessory, called Wii Sports Resort. New console bundles are also coming, with the new Sports Resort game as well as the MotionPlus. New games are often bundled with a Wii console, for new users to buy who have been holding out on the console, but now want the games and decide to take the plunge. Nintendo is also developing a new "vitality sensor", which is a clip onto your fingertip with a sensor using a light sensor to read your biorhythms. The idea is that this would then measure your brain waves, giving users access to biofeedback readings. The possibile uses are to learn meditation, reduce blood pressure, learn tof ocus and concentrate - if it works as proposed! This accessory is targeted for release in 2010, but is not yet confirmed by Nintendo. Nintendo keeps attracting plenty of non-gamers to its console, with new games and fun for anyone, not just gamers. The perfect example is the Wii Fit which was huge for Nintendo, and helps anyone of any age start and maintain a fitness program using the balance board to work out, track progress, and build workout routines. Sports games have always been popular on the Wii, and more are coming. Wii Sports bundles will have plenty of options to choose from with sports games and accessories plus the Wii console right out of the box. Two new tennis games for example are Virtua Tennis from Sega and Grand Slam Tennis from EA Sports, with Grand Slam using the MotionPlus accessory. Also just look at the new release, EA Sports Active, which gives users a sensor pad to help track body movements while running in place or doing other exercises. These are the kinds of new games and accessories that are going to keep the Wii console in the top of all game systems. About the Author: Want to see the huge variety of Wii price and bundle options?
