I really enjoy using my computer and I find myself sitting in front of the computer much more often then I sit in front of the television. Not only do I work on the computer, I also use it for a variety of different things that are enjoyable as well. Unfortunately, there are times whenever I would like to take my computer and throw it out of an open window. Spyware causes one of those times to occur.

Spyware has been around for a number of years but it is still considered to be relatively new on the computer scene. Over those years, it has truly evolved into something that was definitely not whenever it first started. Here is a little bit of information about spyware and what it can do to a computer user like you and me.

Spyware is just a small program that runs in the background and it keeps an eye on everything that you are doing on your computer. At times, it uses this information to give you pop-up advertising that is generally related to what it is that you're looking at on the computer at the time. Spyware also has a possibility of doing something that is much more notorious than this.

One of the main things that spyware is able to do is to log absolutely everything that you are doing on your computer. It can take screenshots, log your keystrokes and recognize whenever you are typing in something specific. For example, if you're logging in to your e-mail account, it is able to recognize this and then they can use it in order to send out spam messages. It can also easily recognize whenever you're typing in personal information, such as your credit card number or bank account numbers.

Whenever it sees that you are doing these things, it instantly records it and then sends it off through the network to somebody else so that they can use it for their own purposes. This is a very bad form of identity theft and it is certainly one that you would want to avoid if at all possible. The only way to avoid it, however, is to avoid getting the spyware in the first place.

If you are already infected with spyware, you will definitely want to go get an anti-spyware program and scan your computer to see what kind of problems are existing. Typically, you can download one of these programs, such as the one that we use, Adwarebot and scan your computer for free. It will list all of the problems that it sees and offer to clean it for you.

This is an excellent program that has helped many people to clean spyware off of their computers and to keep it off of their computer for the long term. If you are having a difficult time with the slow running computer or with constant pop-up windows, this is certainly a program that you should download and run regularly.
